The publication of Delta Agriculturist Journal is intended to bridge the gap between theory and practice by bringing the results of research activities to farmers, extension workers, and industrialists. The journal will accept and publish well-researched articles and review papers in a wide range of agricultural disciplines including crop, soil, and food science; agricultural engineering, food processing, fisheries, aquaculture and agricultural economics, extension and agriculture-related topics from other disciplines. The journal has been in publication since 1981 by the Faculty of Agriculture in the then Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria (now, Rivers State University).
